Tungsten Carbide Rods

Product Description

Tungsten Carbide Rods, as the name implies, are a type of solid material made of tungsten carbide-based alloy cylindrical material produced by powder metallurgy.

Tungsten Carbide Rods we have produced and their practical applications:

  • Tungsten Carbide Round Rods

Regarding cemented carbide rods, this is the type of order we often receive. Customers will further process the carbide rods we initially produce into CNC tool arbors, gear hob bases, throttle valve rods, downhole nozzles and other parts.

  • Tungsten Carbide Round Rods with single hole

This is a cylindrical material of cemented carbide with a central through hole. The design of the air hole itself can reduce the weight of the part and reduce the load on the opponent. At the same time, the circular hole in the middle can also be used as a channel for coolant or gas. In addition, the high corrosion resistance and wear resistance of cemented carbide materials themselves make them widely used in the field of mechanical processing and props, and processed into drill rods, tool rods and other parts. And in industries such as molds and molding equipment, energy and drilling engineering, this single-hole rod can be seen.

  • Tungsten Carbide Round Rods with double holes

Similar to the single-hole round rod mentioned above, this kind of rod has two symmetrical or asymmetrical through holes. Compared with the single-hole round rod, this double-hole design can dissipate heat more efficiently and perform multi-channel fluid control. This bar with two through holes can be further processed into high-end machining and tools, such as composite cooling milling cutter rods; energy and chemical equipment, such as oil and gas well dual-channel valve stems and other parts.

Compared with traditional steel bars, the nozzle life of the double-hole round bar made of cemented carbide is 8 times that of the traditional steel bar. This is the real data fed back to us by our customers. When customers use this kind of parts made of this kind of bars, the parts themselves need to contact with corrosive media, such as coolants, preservatives, aluminum liquid, etc. Additionally, in the harsh environment of high temperature and high pressure underground, the use of traditional steel products cannot meet the operational needs. In the feedback we received, customers often mentioned the troubles brought to them by traditional materials: frequent equipment maintenance and high economic losses. This is also one of the initial reasons why customers reached cooperation with us.

  • Spiral round bar of tungsten carbide

Compared with other round bars, this is a bar with a spiral groove or spiral protrusion structure. Its design combines the ultra-high wear resistance and high temperature resistance of cemented carbide with the mechanical and functional advantages of the spiral structure. It is often used in machining and high-end tools, as well as energy and drilling projects. Its hardness can reach HRA 88-94, which is 20-50 times that of tool steel. The strength retention rate is greater than 85% at a high temperature of 800℃. Its special geometric structure can reduce the weight and increase the efficiency of the main shaft. At the same time, the cemented carbide material will greatly extend the service life of the equipment. In the eyes of customers, this is undoubtedly a cost-effective choice.
